Just wondering how other travellers have got on travelling on their own in Brazil, is it as easy to meet people as Asia for example?? I'll be staying in hostels/cheap hotels and travelling up the east coast starting in Rio...anyone any experience of this, or advice? Cheers, Ian

When are you going? im going there aswell on my own.. Im going to stay at cheap hostels, and there it won't be hard to get to know people.. also im going to search on couchsurfers, and stay at a local for a day or two..
Don't worry, i think you will get to know plenty of ppl! (haven't had the experience myself in brasil, but from other hostels, also read alot that it's really easy)

Thanks for the replies! I'm heading over in July for 4/5 weeks, what about yourself? Do you think I have time to venture into Bolivia after Brazil?!

No problem, im going to brasil in june, and staying till july or something.. Well, that depends on how youre budget are, and how youre planning to go to bolivia? I looked at some tickets to bolivia with airplane, pretty expensive.. but yeah pretty sure you would have enough time to do that.
