Hello guys me and my partner are looking at traveling from New York to Los Angeles in a camper van.
i was just wondering if anyone in America could give us any tips or if they know prices of renting one or buying one to do this kind of thing, or even if its actually possible??

also would ￡4,000 GBP would this cover us for like 3-4months or do we not need that long to do this kind of trip.

I think your plan to rent a camper in NY and drive to SF is not really too good. Our Interstate Highway System forces you to drive on very boring highways, and that means you will be seeing very little of the countryside and none of the small towns enroute. I think it makes more sense to fly to the area of most interest and then rent a camper for a round trip of that area. If you're interested in the far West, fly to San Francisco or Las Vegas and start from there. Certainly the most beautiful areas are the mountains of Colorado/New Mexico, the Pacific Coast, the Southwest (AZ, NM & UT) and the Northwest (OR, WA & ID).

I have driven coast to coast, and there is really little to see between NY and Colorado other than mile after mile of highway. The Interstate system gives one little choice in routes to take these days.

i have been looking on Google maps and was thinking of a route heading south to Florida/Miami then heading to Texas then Los Angeles and finishing in San Fransisco.

Obviously staying in places between these are just rough ideas.
now i have looked more into it 2-3months of time hopefully should be enough.

I would love ideas of great places to see like history and culture etc.

I appreciate the tip of staying away from Juarez
